AmpliTube 2 - Registration/Authorization/Updates:
I have already installed, registered and authorized AmpliTube 2 in my main computer. What do I have to do to use AmpliTube 2 in other computers?
You need to install the program and get a new Authorization Code. To learn how to get a new Authorization Code, please read the following FAQ.

How can I get a new Authorization Code?
Authorize your product, you need to have access to a computer that is connected to Internet. So we have two scenarios;
  1. The computer in which you have installed the product is connected to Internet
  2. The computer in which you have installed the product is NOT connected to Internet, but you have access to another computer that it is connected to Internet.


Please read the following instructions;

1) The computer in which you have installed the product is connected to Internet
  1. When the Product Authorization Wizard starts, insert your Serial number and click Next.
  2. Choose Request a New Authorization Code and click Next.
  3. Select Connect Using this Computer and click Next.
  4. Type your Username and Password and click Next, then continue to step 5. If you do not have an IK Multimedia account select the second option and create one.
  5. Click the Register Online button.
  6. In the IK Product Registration Page, complete the required fields and click Submit.
  7. Copy the Authorization Code recently generated.
  8. Go back to the Product Authorization Wizard and click Next.
  9. Click the Paste button. If the Authorization Code was properly pasted a green check mark will appear to its right. Click Next.
  10. In the next window, your product Serial Number, Digital ID and Authorization Code will appear. Click Finish.
2) The computer in which you have installed the product is NOT connected to Internet, but you have access to another computer that it is connected to Internet.

    A) On the computer the software is installed:

  1. When the Product Authorization Wizard starts, insert your Serial Number and click Next.
  2. Choose Request a New Authorization Code and click Next.
  3. Select Connect Using another Computer, then Next. The current Digital ID will appear. Write it down on paper (or copy it to a text editor and save it on a portable device such as flash drive, CD, etc).

    4. B) On the computer that is connected to the Internet:

  4. Now log in to the User Area at https://www.ikstore.com/Login/IKLogin.cgi. Then, click on Request a new Authorization Code and type (or paste) the Digital ID into the proper product empty box.
  5. Now click on Get New Authorization Code. The new Authorization Code will be sent to your registered email address. Click Continue, scroll down to the new Authorization Code and write down or copy it.

    6. A) On the computer the software is installed:

  6. Go back to the Product Authorization Wizard, and click Next.
  7. Type in the new Authorization Code. If the Authorization Code was properly inserted a green check mark will appear to its right. Click Next.
  8. As a final step, please click Finish.

I’m a registered AmpliTube 2 user and now I’d like to update to the AmpliTube 2 v2.1 version. What should I do?
Please log in into the User Area at https://www.ikstore.com/Login/IKLogin.cgi. /Download Software updates and free contents and download and install AmpliTube 2 (version 2.1 Build 6K16) .

When you install the new AmpliTube 2 v2.1, it will overwrite your previous version. So considering that the USB iKey dongle has been discontinued and it is no longer needed to run AmpliTube 2, your Digital ID number has probably been changed. For that reason, we are kindly asking you to authorize your AmpliTube 2 copy again.

Please log in into the User Area at https://www.ikstore.com/Login/IKLogin.cgi. Then, click on Request a new authorization code and insert your Digital ID.

In order to get your Digital ID, open AmpliTube 2 v2.1 as a standalone or as a plug–in (insert AmpliTube 2 v2.1 in your host sequencer’s tracks), and follow these steps:

  1. When the Product Authorization Wizard starts, insert your Serial number and click Next.
  2. Choose Request a New authorization code and then click Next.
  3. Select Connect Using another Computer, then Next. The current Digital ID will appear.
  4. Now, copy the Digital ID, go back to the User Area and paste it into the proper empty box.
  5. Now click on Get New Authorization Code. The new Authorization Code will be sent to your registered email address.
  6. Copy the received Authorization Code, go back to the Product Authorization Wizard, and click Next.
  7. In the next window, click Paste and Next.
  8. As a final step, please click Finish.
Congratulations! you’ve just fully activated your AmpliTube 2 v2.1 product.

I just bought AmpliTube 2 v2.1. What should I do to Register and Authorize my new product?
In the Support area of our website www.ikmultimedia.com click on the Product Registration link or click on the Tech Support Page link, option 1.

In the Serial number field of the Product Registration Form, please insert the Serial number written on the Registration Card (included with your IK boxed product, inside the license envelope) or the one that has been delivered to you (e.g. Online purchase, such as a Digital Delivery, or update).

Help: the Serial number starts with “ATX20-xxxxxxxx-xxxxx”.

Then, please complete the Registration Form and click Submit.

Regarding the Authorization process, if you already typed your Digital ID while filling the Product Registration Form, you will receive an email from us with your Authorization Code. If not, after you launch the program the Product Authorization Wizard will appear. Please read and follow the instructions provided in each of the wizard’s windows and get an Authorization Code.
