How can I transfer IK products’ licenses from one iKey to another one?
  1. Insert all your USB keys into your computer’s USB ports or hubs.
  2. Launch the Syncrosoft License Control Center (LCC) application
  3. In Mac, Macintosh HD/Applications/License Control Center.
  4. In PC, Start\All Programs\Syncrosoft\License Control Center and then go to Wizards\License Transfer\Click Next.
  5. Now you will see the licenses contained on each iKey . Then, select the license you wish to transfer and click Next.
  6. After that, select the target device and click Next.
  7. Now press the start button to begin the transfer. (You must have Internet access on this machine to do this).

Note for users of NFR keys (i.e. Stores and Sales staff): remember that the Syncrosoft keys don’t allow sharing NFR and Full licenses on the same iKey. In fact, in the Syncrosoft LCC application the NFR key appears as a little red key with the acronym NFR below it, while the Full license key appears in blue.

In order to save USB ports, Can I transfer other companies’ product licenses to my iKey ? And viceversa?

If the products’ license that you are planning to transfer are from companies that use Syncrosoft’s USB keys as a copy protection system (e.g. Arturia, Korg, Steinberg, etc), there should be no problem. However, please contact their Tech Support before you proceed. After that, just do a License Transfer.

Can I transfer my IK licenses to an iLok key?

No. They are two different types of copy-protection systems. The iKey is manufactured by Syncrosoft, and the iLok by PACE. As a result, the IK product licenses will not work with an iLok key.

If I transfer my license from one iKey to another one, and I enter the Authorization code that I got when I registered it the first time, I get an error that it no longer matches my serial and it refuses me.

That is the expected behavior. Remember that moving your license from one iKey to another iKey, or from one computer to another one, will generate a new Digital ID and as a consequence a new Authorization Code. Please log in into the User Area at https://www.ikstore.com/Login/IKLogin.cgi . Then, click on Request a new authorization code and insert your Digital ID.

As mentioned previously, in order to get your Digital ID you need to open your host sequencer and launch your IK product.

  1. When the Product Authorization Wizard starts, type your Serial number in and click Next.
  2. Choose Request a New Authorization Code and then click Next.
  3. Select Connect Using another Computer, then Next. The current Digital ID will appear.
  4. Now, copy the Digital ID, go back to the User Area and paste it into the empty box.
  5. After that, just click on Get New Authorization Code. The new Authorization Code will be sent to your registered email address.

Sometimes, when I have multiple iKeys in the same hub my Syncrosoft License Control Center does not recognize one of them.

Please click on Refresh Device list or un-plug and plug the iKeys one at a time.
