What is the Serial Number?
The Serial Number is a unique code used to identify each IK Product and for Registration purposes. It contains a combination of eight teen digits/characters organized in 3 groups of 5, 8 and 5 units respectively.

Example: "ATX20-xxxxxxxx-xxxxx".

You will need the Serial Number to register your IK product via the Product Registration page.

Where can I find my IK product Serial Number?

The Serial number is written on the Registration Card (included with your IK product, inside the license envelope). In the example below it shows where you can find the Serial number on your Registration Card .

- For a clear characters’ identification, please refer to the legend at the bottom of the card.

Note: the zero can easily be identified in your Serial Number because it is crossed by a line).

Why is the Wizard rejecting my Serial Number?

Probably because it found a mistyping, so please see below for the most common errors:

  • Typing a 0 ("zero" number) instead of an O ("o" letter)
  • Typing 1 ("one" number) instead of an I ("i" letter)
  • Typing 2 ("two" number) instead of an Z ("z" letter)
  • Typing 5 ("five" number) instead of an S ("s" letter)
  • Typing 8 ("eight" number) instead of an B ("b" letter)
  • Typing a "." (point) instead of a "-" (minus), and viceversa, is one of the most common occurrence.

Suggestions:

  • When possible, please copy and paste the information.
  • Cut off all the leading and trailing spaces.
  • Please type all codes UPPERCASE during the installation and registration process.
  • Check that the Serial Number that you are entering matches with the product installed. For instance, AmpliTube 2 Serial number-AmpliTube 2 installed.

What is the Digital ID ?
The Digital ID is an automatically generated code used to protect our software.
The Digital ID is based on the computer system where the software is installed, for challenge-response protected software or on the iKey (USB hardware key), for dongle protected software.

Note: All the latest IK Products versions do NOT require the iKey . Please go to the IK User Area and click on Download software updates and free contents.

The Digital ID contains a combination of twenty eight digits/characters grouped on 8, 4, 4, 4, and 8 units.

Example: "xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxx"

To visualize the Serial Number and Digital ID structure, please analyze the screenshot added below:
Changing you computer system or the USB hardware key will generate a new Digital ID and will require a new Authorization Code .

Remember that the Digital ID has NO letter "I" and "O", only the numbers "1" (one) and "0" (zero). You will need the Serial Number and the Digital ID to be able to get an Authorization Code .
