T-RackS – Concepts and capabilities:
What is T-RackS?
T-RackS is the first and only software dedicated entirely to audio mastering, built with actual models of physical tube circuitry.
It offers a complete workstation made of four discrete processors: a state-of-the-art six band parametric equalizer, a classic stereo tube Compressor/Leveler, a multi-band master stereo limiter, and an adjustable soft-clipping output stage.

With its four separate processors, astonishing warmth and ease-of-use, you'll be putting a polish on your tracks you may have never thought possible.

No other single software processor sounds like T-RackS and none makes mastering so easy. It can vastly enhance mix frequencies, broaden the stereo image as well as boost or precisely level the dynamic range. All this, while adding the beautiful warmth and space of the tube-devices it emulates.
No other software or plug-in offers this kind of dedicated environment for such an important task.

Could you briefly explain what is the difference between the T-RackS product versions? For example, T-RackS Eq, T-RackS, T-RackS 24, T-RackS VS?
Essentially, T-RackS Eq is a state-of-the-art six band parametric equalizer that works as a plug-in, and it is usually bundled with other host applications programs.

T-RackS is everything you need to create superb, tube-toned masters with your sequencer. T-RackS includes:
  1. a state-of-the-art EQ
  2. a classic tube modeled compressor
  3. a multi band master limiter
  4. a soft-clipping stage
  5. a complete mastering suite containing all the plugs in one efficient, "gold sounding" mastering plug-in, built with actual physical models of tube circuitry.

  • T-RackS 24
  • is the best Stand-alone Analog Mastering Suite for Mac /PC. Now it is also available as Universal application for Intel-based Macintosh systems.

T-RackS 24 imports and exports 24 bit Aiff, Wav and SDII files and includes the following components:

    1. State-of-the-art 6 band Mastering EQ
    2. Tube modeled stereo Compressor
    3. Multi-band Master Limiter
    4. Soft clipping output stage
    5. Studio mastering presets

  • T-RackS VS is an analog modeled mastering station for the Roland VS Studio.

  • T-RackS VS is a set of high quality real-time software sound processors that offers amazing sound performance with a similar working environment to that of a high end mastering station, right inside your Roland VS Studio.

T-RackS VS consists of two software Plug-Ins for the VS8F-3 plug-in expansion board:

    1. T-RackS VS Mastering Equalizer: State-of-the-art six band stereo parametric equalizer.
    2. T-RackS VS Mastering Dynamics: This is a set of three processors and includes a Mastering Tube Stereo Compressor, a Mastering Multiband Stereo Limiter and a Stereo Soft Clipping output stage.

In short, if you need a mastering suite to use in your host application, you should invest in T-RackS. If you need to master in 24 bits outside your host application, you should invest in T-Racks 24 standalone. If you use the Roland VS8F-3 unit, the T-RackS VS Mastering Equalizer and T-RackS VS Mastering Dynamics will be bundled with it. If you purchase any Digidesign, Yamaha or E-MU product, for instance, T-RackS Eq will be bundled with them.

Can I use T-RackS to actually burn CD-ROMs?
No. T-RackS is the software equivalent of an equalizer, compressor and limiter. With T-RackS you can process sound files, making them louder and more musical. It's got nothing to do with the burning process.

To burn a CD you would need specific hardware (CD writer) and software.

Can I insert a Fade in or Fade out in the middle of the audio file?
